Ensuring Data Integrity

• Back-up Techniques : Regularly check up, must be done on a schedule (King's College does it three times a day)
• Frequency of Saving : This is to save documents from power cuts and computer crashes
• Virus Protection Facility : This stops viruses, un ortharised access and stops anything that is not requested. This can be done with a fire wall. If a virus does get through the fire wall anti virus soft ware must be installed.
• UPS Surge Protector : Uninterrupted Power Supply is attached to the electrical circuit and protects the computer from spikes and surges. These protect the computer from blowing up when spikes or surges happen.
